GameSpot Editor Fired Because Of Negative Review

November 30th, 2007 Posted in Business, News, Rumor

According to rumors, GameSpot fired long time editor Geff Gertsmann for a negative review he gave to Kane & Lynch. Apparently publisher Eidos, a major advertiser on GameSpot, demanded that Gertsmann be fired for his Kane & Lynch review. Earlier today GameSpot featured a massive ad of the game, but it has since been taken down and so has the video review of the game. Jeff Gertsmann has confirmed that he has been let down by GameSpot, and considering he was with the company for over 10 years and is very respected among the community, something out of the ordinary must have happened.
