Although a new Tomb Raider game was confirmed to be in development for current-gen consoles, no details were known about it until now. Gamespot reports that Eidos has filed a US trademark application, hinting at the nature of the upcoming Lara Croft-starring game.
The company has filed an application for a trademark on the phrase “Tomb Raider Underworld”, implying that the acrobatic heroine will either be dodging bullets from criminals, or if the earlier games are any indication, be interacting with Greek mythology. Either way, no other details are currently known to make a statement. However, quite interestingly, the trademark covers both retail and digitally distributed titles, meaning that the game will be available through both mediums when released.
