360 To Gain on Wii, PS3 in Back
December 3rd, 2007 by Jeff Baker in Analyst, Business, News, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox360
Everybody’s favorite analyst Micheal Pachter is back and this time he gives a little insight on to what he thinks come this Holiday season. Micheal Pachter points out that over the previous week Mircrosoft was trailing Nintendo with just 40,000 less consoles sold, coming in at 310,000 360’s pushed and 350,000 Wii’s pushed with the PS3 pushing around 150,000 consoles. He notes that this is due to the fact that new hardware like the 40GB consumer friendly PS3 and games like Halo 3 are all coming out in the same time frame.
He goes on to predict that for the month of December, Wii is likely to have sold around 1.7 million consoles with the 360 coming in close second with around 1.5 million consoles sold, again PS3 bringing it up the rear with around 800,000 consoles sold.
Of course these numbers are only speculation and there is really no telling what the month of December holds for the gaming industry but it’s sure to be a big one.
