EVE Onine Update Kills PCs

December 6th, 2007 by James Hyde in Adventure, MMO, Multiplayer, News, Online, PC, Software

If you’re a player of the popular Sci-fi MMO EVE Online, pay close attention: the recent update, Trinity, removes the boot.ini file from Windows XP, meaning that you cannot boot your computer after installing the update. Even though the new update has been under way for a very long time, and has several new features — including a brand new game engine — it’s kind of pointless if you can’t boot your PC.

A new patch is in the works and will be available shortly.
