VAC Accepts Manhunt 2 Appeal

December 10th, 2007 Posted in Business, News, Wii by Will Prusik

Rockstar Games has taken a step towards getting Manhunt 2 released in the UK where it was banned for its extremely violent content even after creating a much more censored version after some ratings issues in the USA. The Video Appeals Committee voted four to three in favor of allowing the appeal. While the BBFC has promised to look over the decision very carefully when it is made available, this is a definite blow for free speech. After all if cigarettes and alcohol which both have proven, documented negative effects are legal, why should controversial media be banned?
