Insecticide to be Sprayed in February

Oddly named publisher Gamecock sends word that it will publish Insecticide, an adventure game for PC and DS, in February 2008. Developed by Crackpot Entertainment, the game will be released for the DS on February 12, with the first bisodic downloadable PC episode available soon after.

The game brings back the gritty feel of old-school detective films, utilizing unique interface options of both action/adventure genres. It has players take on the role of rookie detective Chrys Lyst as he takes on the biggest case he has ever seen. Insecticide combines third-person combat scenarios with platforming elements; detective sequences include interrogation, crime scene investigation and puzzle solving.
