Virtual Console Gifts Region Locked

If you’ve got friends in the UK and you figured sending them a gift via the Wii virtual console would be a great way to save on exorbitant shipping costs, you’re unfortunately  North American Wii owners are discovering that even sending games to friends or family in Canada is a no-go. While this is likely to prevent some enterprising individual from making money by selling games unreleased in certain areas via ebay or the internet it’s rather unfortunate, especially in that there’s no warning that this is the case.
