Gamers have been arguing about Halo 3 since before it was even released. Many believed the title would be a veritable gift from heaven. Others vilified it as an over hyped, uninspired FPS. After the game was released discussions and flamewars alike soared online. Even some fans of the series found themselves disappointed. One facet of the game which people complained about was the relatively unimproved graphics. While Halo 2 was a big jump from the original, many felt that Halo 3 seemed more like ‘Halo 2.5′. Now in our notoriously litigious society there’s a court case pending around this issue. Despite being advertised as a ‘high definition game’ with a 720p resolution, Halo 3 renders in 640p which is then scaled up to 720. If you purchased the game you can go here and see if you’re entitled to some money back pending the success of the class action suit.
