COD4 Player Arrested
It seems that law enforcement is everywhere now a days as they have managed to nab college student Allieu Shaw for making a threat over Xbox Live. Shaw, who attends Frostburg State University, apparently threatened to “shoot up the school”, resulting in his arrest.
Once in custody Shaw told authorities that it was a joke (which is probably was) and was suspended from school facing up to two years in prison and/or a fine of up to $5,000. Jeez imagine if the authorities got wind of what people were saying on Halo, the whole country would go into lock down.

jesus christ, now not only do they look out for people talking (or typing) about terrorism type things, but because of the recent school shootings, they also search for people talking about school shooting!? …wait, maybe the guy on the recieving end just phoned the police.

the way i see it we are run by a dictatorship simaler to that of the nazi but still it is a dirrect infringement on our freedom of speech our gov. offers no restraint to arrest anyone they just do it regardless of the circumstances

It’s only a joke until someone actually does it. When Columbine and similar tragedies occurred, everyone was wondering why nobody got any hint of this. If you’re stupid enough to say you’re going to commit a violent crime, you should be able to live with the consequences.

I dont think this guy should have been arrested but lets face it, if you don’t know they will bust you for stuff like this with the way our country is right now, your an idiot. It’s like the people that say “I’ve got a bomb!” in the airport and then go oh I was just kidding. Don’t people think before they talk anymore? If you don’t mean it don’t say it. It’s that simple.
