GOA and EA Mythic today announced that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, the upcoming MMORPG based on the Warhammer universe, has surpassed 500,000 closed beta registrants across North America and Europe. The testing resumes next week with a special sneak peek at the new Dark Elf lands and careers. The development team thanks the tremendous response they received from fans around the world; they believe they now have a “strong pool of gamers” to tap for the game’s final testing stages.

Warhammer Online is set to launch during Q2 2008. Interested applicants can still sign up on the game’s website.
