Uncharted Sales Disappoint
December 15th, 2007 Posted in Action, Adventure, Business, News, PlayStation 3

While Crysis and UT3 have shown disappointing sales in November, so has Sony’s highly anticipated Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. The game was released on November 15, and managed to sell only 117,000 copies, although still better than Crysis and UT3. Compared to Call of Duty 4, which sold almost 450,000 copies, it’s somewhat of a disappointment. Other key titles from Sony have had disappointing sales, Ratchet and Clank, Warhawk and Lair all sold far under 100,000 copies in their first month, only exception is Heavenly Sword, which sold 140,000 units in September.

The PS3 is still searching for its “Gears of War” title forget about hoping for one on Halo 3’s level … they will be lucky to have a game that can sale 3 million copies. I don’t get it though because from what I have seen this game really looks slick … what more do PS3 gamers want?

^A brain would be good. They’re not very bright if they don’t pick up the actual decent games. resistance did well and wasn’t even a good game. people just either don’t know whether a game has come out, whether it is good, or are just stupid and look for the next fps which lets you blow up nazis or arabs.

Halo didn’t have innovation? How about the effective integration of vehicles into an FPS, that was a pretty new thing to be done as well as they did it, not to mention the stealing vehicles from enemies thing. I’ll give you that Halo 3 didn’t have vast improvements over the previous one, but Halo 1 and 2 were pretty big for FPSes.
