In previous Smash Bros., the single player campaign was a straightforward romp, leading up to the eventual final battle. However, today the creators have announced just another level of depth to an already amazingly deep game. Many of the single player event fights can be played with two players. Of course, the scenarios will change slightly when tackled with a second helper, instead of Mario going solo against Bowser, Kirby will join the fray against King Dedede.
The creators also touched on a variety of other battles and returning options. There will be a battle between Charizard, Ivysaur and two Pikachus. A ten second sudden death, where you must kill as many enemies as possible. The coin battles will return and finally two player co-op target mode. Pretty great stuff, even if you only have one friend over there should be plenty of content to keep you going.
