This all came from a post on Akiba PC Hotline (http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba/hotline/20071201/etc_physx.html) saying that stores are battling each other price-wise and dropped the bulk-packed units down to 5980 yen in limited quantities as a special purchase item.
