Steam Users Can Now “Gift”

December 20th, 2007 Posted in Business, News, Online, PC by Rajiv Ashrafi

steam-logo.jpgJust in time for the gift-giving season, Valve announces that users on Steam can now purchase games as gifts to send to anyone – friend, family, co-worker or some random stranger on their Steam Friends list. The recipient will receive the gift as an e-card featuring a personal message, and if the user is on the service, they can start downloading the game right away.

Gifts can be given in the usual way – buy the game and during checkout choose the gift option. More information on the service can be found here.
