The Christmas mood has also touched Ubisoft, as the company revealed first details for Rainbow Six Vegas 2, the upcoming sequel to the tactical squad shooter. In development for release during March 2008 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, the game is being developed by the publisher’s Montreal studio and will offer another chance for gamers to rescue America’s “sexiest city” from a terrorist siege.

Vegas 2 will feature more multiplayer, with 13 new maps, two new adversarial modes, more rewards, and a better matchmaking system. Players will also be able to create an identity that persists through both the single-player and multiplayer modes. There will also be a vastly improved co-op mode, having players assist each other through the levels. Finally, the game has gotten even larger, including 11 new weapons, new camouflage, gear, and even bigger areas.
