The first patch for Crysis was expected quite some time ago, but has been delayed. According to an update by Crytek, the patch will be released within the next few weeks. It is currently in QA and is expected in early 2008. The one major reason it was delayed because they faced “heavy technical issues right before the patch was declared final.” It will be a performance enhancing update.
Crytek also reveals that they are also working on the second patch, which will feature new content and gameplay enhancements based on the feedback they received. It will be a full content patch, which will also “address stability, gameplay tweaks, balancing issues and new features for both single and multiplayer.” No release date was offered for it.
