Amazon Sells 17 Wiis Per Second

December 27th, 2007 Posted in Business, News, Wii by Will Prusik

wiiImagine the profits if Nintendo was able to make enough consoles to keep up with that kind of sales. Popular uber-store website Amazon announced on Wednesday that when they had Wiis in stock online they’d sell out at a rate of 17 per second. Apparently this contributed to what they said was their most successful holiday season ever. If Nintendo could keep up with that speed they’d need to be turning out 1,468,800 consoles every day.
