Not all all the cries of disappointment were from kids who received a Wii raincheck instead of a Wii this holiday. Thirteen year-old Brandon Burns opened up his PlayStation 3 which he received as a Christmas present. Can you guess what was inside? No, it wasn’t a PS3 raincheck. Instead of finding a console inside, the boy pulled out a phone book instead. Much to Jack Thompson disappointment, instead of acting irrationally, Burns actually took it in good humor thinking it was a joke by his parents. His parents, however, didn’t find it funny that they paid over $600 just to have the gift swapped for the phone book. Obviously the family took their complaints to EB Games, but there has been no word on wether anything has come of it yet.

Obviously this means that the PS3 does interest people enough to steal one. Unfortunately this also means that the price is so high that people have to resort to stealing them.
