Nintendo DS Best Selling Gaming Hardware in Japan EVER

The DS has already gotten honorable mention more times than anyone can count but it has done it again and passed yet another landmark. Prior to the DS, the PS2 was supreme commander of hardware sales in Japan, which is to be expected since it’s dirt cheap and has about a billion games. But PS2 holds the top spot no longer because the Nintendo DS has successfully surpassed the PS2 in lifetime sales, which is absolutely ridiculous considering how long the PS2 has been out as compared to the DS. Perhaps in the future the Japanese government will make it mandatory to own a DS… maybe not.
