Xbox Live Subscribers To Receive Refund For Downtime
January 1st, 2008 by Brian Lockhart in Business, News, Online, Xbox360
Nothing has yet been officially announced, but website The Bitbag received word from a Microsoft rep about the downtime on live this past week. One of the big questions was whether subscribers to the service would receive some small compensation for having to put up with the briefly faulty service. The rep got back to them to say “…we will definitely be doing something for our Gold members that weren’t able to get online over the last week.”
With multiplayer gaming completely offline over the holiday season, plenty of gamers have so far missed out on getting a chance to play their new presents online, something that surely would be frustrating. It’ll be interesting to see exactly what MS decides to offer. A free month to the service or an XBLA game seem the most likely course of action.
