Evil Avatar reports that Nintendo is launching its very own movie download service called DSVision, allowing owners of the touch-screened handheld to download and view movies on their console. This is happening in Japan only at the moment and requires the purchase of a 3,890 yen kit consisting of a USB dongle, 512MB microSD memory card and an adapter for slotting the card into the portable’s game port.
The website is already up, and according to EA’s report, the site will also soon host downloadable books, movies, music and comics. No word on when this will hit other regions.
