Far Cry Sequel Hitting Consoles, Too

January 3rd, 2008 by Rajiv Ashrafi in Action, FPS, News, Xbox360

Not content with being on PC, or just warned by the poor sales of Crysis and UT3 on the platform, Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 2 is also coming out on PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is being developed by the publisher’s Montreal development studio and is powered by a custom-made video game engine built from the ground up.

Not much is known about the game, but it takes place in Africa and will feature the same open-world found in the original. Far Cry 2 is scheduled to ship during Ubi’s fiscal 2008-2009 year.
