Denied: Crysis On The 360

I hope I have succeeded in crushing your dreams today, this is the last of three rumor denials, I promise! We actually hadn’t run the story yet, but rumors were circulating via a Australian retailer that Crysis was headed for the 360 next November. Like most good rumors, it seemed plausible after extremely sluggish sales of the PC version. Heck, it may even still be a possibility in the future, but for now Crytek is denying it as being true.
TGR contacted a spokesperson for Electronic Arts in the licensed games division who said there were currently no plans for an Xbox 360 version of Crysis.
However, Crytek has constantly said that Crysis would be unable to run on an Xbox 360, given hardware limitations. Knowing how demanding the title is, we can certainly agree in its current state Crysis on 360 would be rough, but ports are certainly not out of the question. With a few cuts here and there and some proper planning, perhaps a running version could eventually be brought to light. With sales as low as they are, they might just be desperate enough to do it.
