Denied: Full Game Downloads For The DS
January 4th, 2008 by Brian Lockhart in News, Nintendo DS, Online, Rumor
After a news article from the Seattle Times, which by the way was riddled with errors, they made a pretty big one that Nintendo has now denied. In the story Reggie was quoted at saying complete DS games would be available in North America on the Wii, in addition to the downloads available on the My Nintendo channel.
Apparently there was a misunderstanding, or the writer simply had no idea what he was talking about, as this was not what Reggie was talking about. Instead, Reggie was merely referring to the downloads coming up on the Everybody’s Nintendo channel, and as before, there are no current plans for full download titles. Seems to make sense, as no solution to hold full downloaded titles is yet available, but perhaps we can hope for an addition like this in the future. Gamasutra has the quote from Nintendo following up on the story.

The demo will be erased once the Nintendo DS is turned off.”
