WoW To Go Mobile?

January 4th, 2008 Posted in MMO, News, PC by Will Prusik

Between the original MMORPG, a card game and a board game a sane individual would think that there’s no way World of Warcraft could consume any more of its fans time. A venture capitalist however is predicting yet another scope of life to conquer: the mobile world. Cellphone games have come far from their humble beginnings. I remember my first cellphone having a black and white Othello game which I used to kill endless hours on the train to and from work. Now companies are producing games entirely exclusive to mobile devices, so this prediction isn’t far off. Baris Karadogan, a venture capitalist with ComVentures predicts that a slimmed down version of WoW will be coming to cellphones which will actually be linked to your main account. By playing the cellphone version you would be able to accumulate experience points to add to your character. If this comes true you won’t have to worry about people driving while on their cellphone anymore. People WoWing while driving will be a much worse hazard.
