In an unusual move, Criterion has released a patch for the recently released Burnout Paradise demo. The update ups the number of online multiplayer support to eight from four; it also adds thirteen new Freeburn challenges.

This comes contradictory after the developer posted a strongly-worded criticism of the criticism that was put towards the demo. “The demo was made after work on Paradise was completed, so no, we won’t be using internet ‘feedback’ to tune the game,” read their statement.

The full Burnout Paradise will be experienced later this month on PS3 and Xbox 360.
