2007 was a great year for gaming, but not a good one for FASA Studios, as their only game Shadowrun failed to impress gamers and critics alike, thanks to the lack of polish and additional content a lot of people hoped would come. This led to the closure of the Microsoft-owned studio later in the year.
Today, a post of the Shadowrun forums makes it clear that the studio is dead and that they don’t have enough people to run the forums. They are going to close the forum down in about two weeks, during which time they recommend posting about other meet-up places on the net.
Interestingly, the post also makes it clear that another studio might be working on more Shadowrun projects. Microsoft is yet to announce anything related to the franchise.
