Microsoft Talks 2008 Software Lineup

January 8th, 2008 by Brian Lockhart in News, Xbox360

Don Mattrick, chief over at Microsoft Games has gone on a confirmation rampage at CES, mentioned some of the titles expected for 2008 and more mysterious ones along the way. Halo Wars, Too Human, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Fable 2 will all be on track for 2008, and are not cancelled as some have rumored. Furthermore he mentioned that several unannounced 360 titles are on track for 2008 release as well. This is what he had to say about the matter verbatim:

“In 2008 the hits will continue to come with exclusives including “Halo Wars,” “Too Human,” “Fable 2,” Alan Wake,” “Splinter Cell: Conviction,” and several exciting yet-to-be-announced titles. Xbox 360 will be home to the next versions of great franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Resident Evil, and we will continue to be the leading choice for sports fans, with the next editions of Madden and FIFA looking and playing better on our platform.”

I’d like to point out that the Marvel MMO that was rumored to be cancelled it not mention, as well as Banjo Kazooie 3, which you’d think would be somewhat nearing release by now. If not, what exactly is Rare up to these days?

I don’t know about Too Human. I mean I hope it’s good but I’m really looking forward to Fable 2.
