All Guitar Heroed Out In 2008

The most recent issue of EGM carries a rumor that not only is Acitivision happy with milking one of the newest franchises once a year, but will be doing it four times in this year alone. Yes, Activision is not content with driving the guitar hero franchise deep, deep into the ground, but would like that to occur promptly this year.

In addition to Guitar Hero 3, there will be Guitar Hero Aerosmith, and two others that are un-named. I’m all for receiving track updates, but that’s what downloadable content is for. I think EA has gotten that model right, and Activision is wrong on this one. Disk based song tracks could even be occasionally released (at a cheap price), but 4 full priced games a year to a franchise is a bit overbearing.
