When it comes to highly anticipated games, Fallout 3 is at the top of many gamers’ lists. Today there’s some new information about the upcoming post-apocalyptic RPG from Bethesda, the company that makes the Elder Scrolls series. This update from the developers gives some insights into one of the only universally present factions in all the Fallout games: the Brotherhood of Steel. The technology-savvy guardians of the wasteland are fleshed out a bit more than in previous games and promise to feature prominently in your wanderings. The particular branch in the DC area (where the game is set) came into the ruined capital area to scavenge for advanced technology under development by the United States before the war. Having found some ‘technological marvel’ that promised to aid the Brotherhood’s efforts, they set up a fortress in the ruins of the Pentagon. The post also sets up what promises to be at least a major side quest if not something tied into the main quest itself: the super mutant population, and from whence it came.
