Valve has acquired developer Turtle Rock Studios, who are currently working on Left 4 Dead, a game based on the Source engine and published by Valve. Turtle Rock has previously had a tight relationship with Valve, doing some development on Counter Strike, from maps to the single player version CS: Condition Zero. Turtle Rock, based in California, will now become a subsidiary of Valve.
