Blue Dragon DS Pushed Back, Not Dated

Jeux France brings word of upcoming Blue Dragon retooled for the DS. A game, which obviously would have preformed traditionally better in Japan, had it been on the right platform, so it really was no surprise when the developer decided to make the switch. Although, a Wii iteration might have been a slightly easier port. So with my public school mastery of French in hand, I’ve braved the site for a translation: only to find Babel fish waiting for me.

“Sadness, Mistwalker announces today the carryforward of its Blue Dragon More (DS) for unknown reasons. Previously envisaged for March 2008 in Japan, plus any date of exit is not announced today.”

Sadness indeed! Surprisingly, I can muddle through the French a lot better then the broken English, but the jist is Blue Dragon has been pushed back indefiniately for unknown reasons, (thanks Babel Fish, you are always good for a laugh) even though it was supposed to release this March, and a new release date has not been announced. We’ll await further word, but it seems like this project could have been canned altogether, I guess we’ll find out more down the road from Mistwalker.
