Nintendo And Microsoft Bicker Over GoldenEye

Trying to get GoldenEye up and running on one of the two services is proving to be a bit of a feat, as Microsoft and Nintendo just cannot reach an agreement. Currently, with Rare completely owned by Microsoft, they are making all the right moves to secure the proper licenses and even agreements with actors who did original voiceover work, so that they can make the game available on XBLA.

But things aren’t so straightforward, as Nintendo and Microsoft couldn’t agree. Was Nintendo going to receive a one-time payment or continuing royalties for the inevitable huge amount of sales that would be made? But, things weren’t meant to be as work has come to a halt just a few months before completion. Microsoft for the most part was leaving everything in tacked, and just adding online multiplayer, an important feature. Until an agreement can be reached, it seems unlikely that the near completed project will be released. But, ultimately its a benefit to both companies and we all know Microsoft can and has used money to eventually get their way.
