Spore Coming To Mac

January 15th, 2008 by Erich Jurgens in News, PC, Technology

Let me tell you a story. I should tell you that I am a Mac guy. Despite this, I have become so excited over the potential of Spore that I decided it would be worth the cost of a PC. So, this morning I went out trudging through snow, cold, and other associated elements of winter and bought a new PC to play the game. Apparently, EA has a sense of humor, because today they’ve announced that a completely equivalent version of Spore is coming out for Mac OS X day and date with the PC version. In order to achieve this, rather than having Spore miss the PC launch date, EA is partnering with Transgaming, the developer for a technology that makes identical Mac or Linux ports of PC games. GDC is just around the corner it would be nice to hear something about Spore, for example, a release date.
