THQ Acquires Big Huge Games

THQ has acquired developer Big Huge Games, makers of Rise of Nations and Catan. Big Huge Games will maintain independence from THQ, sticking with the same management, while becoming a subsidiary of THQ. The developer was founded in 2000, and currently has 85 employees based in Timonium, Maryland, USA.
