Cake Mania 2 Announced for DS, Wii

Serving up even more cake, Majesco sent out word that it is working on Cake Mania 2 for the DS. In the works at Digital Embryo, the sequel follows up on the PC game that has achieved more than 50 million downloads and sold over 280,000 units worldwide on the DS.

“Cake Mania’s fast-paced, addictive gameplay has created a tremendous following of franchise fans,” said John Merchant, Marketing Manager at Majesco. “With a wide range of feature enhancements, Cake Mania 2 for the DS offers tremendous depth while retaining the same core gameplay mechanic that made the original a handheld success.”

The sequel has players leading Jill through more than 200 different levels of baking and frosting madness with 50 unique kitchen upgrades and more. This time around, customers include aliens, federal agents, rock stars and grannies among others. Environments will also range from underwater theme park to outer space.

A Wii version of the game is also in development. Further details are expected soon.
