Those looking forward to Wii Ware don’t have too much longer to wait. In addition to the massive list of Q1 and Q2 releases dropped by Nintendo for both the Wii and Nintendo DS, they have confirmed that Wii Ware should be making an appearance by Q2. Originally it was thought that Wii Ware would launch in March, but given Nintendo is now dropping Smash Bros, and other titles like Okami will be slipping into the end of the fiscal year, it seems an April or May release would better suit the service.

Surely once Nintendo has convinced millions of Wii owners to flock online to start playing Super Smash Bros, in that very moment they will strike down with the service to grab even more of our hard earned cash. One thing I’d love to see from Wii Ware, at some point, would be a Smash Bros. add on pack perhaps with new characters and stages. At this point its hard to say what Nintendo will do, but if Smash Bros. is successful, you can sure bet someone will be considering it.
