It’s one thing for Harmonix to take the moral high road and give us proper downloadable content, instead of pumping out as many rock band games as possible in 2008. But it’s another entirely that it actually seems to be paying off. To date, just 8 weeks following release, 2.5 million Rock Band tracks have been sold through PSN and XBLA. Just to put that in perspective, 1 million units of Rock Band have been sold, and already DLC as generated roughly 5 million dollars.
With this kind of re-assurance, expect EA and Harmonix to actually stick to their game plan, delivering their promised 200 songs and full CDs for 2008, if not even more.
