XGen Making WiiWare Game

Developer of browser-based games XGen Studios announced today that it has become an authorized developer for the upcoming WiiWare service, which is slated to launch this March.

The company is developing an original title for the service inspired by a existing cult classic from the studio. The game will allow up to four simultaneous players and will make full use of the console’s unique controller. “We’re taking advantage of the creative freedom afforded by WiiWare to bring fans a captivating co-op game, with great competitive elements and irresistibly charming art direction,” said Skye Boyes, president, XGen Studios.

Further details are expected soon. The game is slated for release during the WiiWare release window.
