EA has released a deluxe edition of Battlefield 2142, containing the original game plus the booster pack Northern Strike. The Deluxe Edition is in retail now and costs just under $30, a decent value of you’re interested and haven’t tried BF2142 yet, bit with all the great FPS games released recently, there’s better value for money out there.

…… And as supplied in the DVD version is broken ….

The booster pack content is unsuable as of 1345 GMT on 25th Jan 2008.

Some users have not even been able to run the plain vanilla BF2142 content in the de luxe edition. No has been able to use the Northern Strike content at all leaving them with a shiny drinks coaster..

EA are aware of the issue but have been uncommunicative beyond acknowledging that the problem exists.
