NASA Looking To Make Space MMO

January 19th, 2008 Posted in Business, Featured, News, Online, PC by James

Mighty NASA, the US space agency, is looking to develop a space based MMO, where players will have a huge virtual world to interact with. The MMO would be targeted at students to “simulate real NASA engineering and science missions”. NASA says that games are becoming “increasingly important in education”, and will look into MMOs and other types of games to teach and inform the next generation of NASA scientists and the general public. NASA has an annual budget of around $17 billion, which gives it more than enough cash to build a decent MMO. If anyone is to make a space based game, it’s NASA indeed.
