The Wii parade continues with word from sales-tracking firm NPD Group revealing that the Ninty console had the highest software to hardware sales ratio across the past holiday season.
The 2007 Holiday season saw North American consumers buying on average 8.11 games for every Wii console sold in that timeframe. The Xbox 360 follows in second place, coming in at a slightly lower 7.76 games; as expected, the PS3 came in last at 5.04 games per unit sold.
Interestingly, the Xbox 360 has dominated the lifetime ratio with a 7.0 attach rate since its launch. Lifetime ratios for the Wii and PS3 are 4.64 and 4.26 titles, respectively.
