It looks like in less than a month’s time; a new and seemingly big RPG should be added to one of Nintendo’s current systems, at least if Nintendo Power is to be believed. In their upcoming section of the magazine, they have this to say:

“An Epic Unfolds: Next month’s cover story is an RPG so fantastic, so engrossing, and so hush-hush that we’d have to erase your memories if we told you what it is. In fact, maybe we already did. Role-playing fans get ready for a big one.”

Now how is that for some hype? If all is to be believed, Nintendo Power should have the exclusive scoop on something big, I’d hope something that isn’t current knowledge. Sonic RPG was the current month’s cover story, so one would presume it is equally or even more so a big deal.

There really are tons of possibilities on the table, Square Enix could be making a triumphant return (I’d give my left kidney for a true Mario RPG sequel), a true Pokemon game could be making its way to the consoles, or we could just wind up receiving the scoop on Baten Kaitos, and consider this an overhyped surprise. We’ll surely let you know what the big secret is the moment the next issue hits the stands, or my mailbox.
