Beyond Smash Bros. mania, which is obviously hitting us full in the face today, Nintendo hasn’t delved too much into the 2008 lineup. Especially, there are little to no titles that we know will be hitting in the later half of 2008. However it seems that long ago confirmed Kirby and Animal Crossing for the Wii both are on track as 2008 titles, according to a investor report, where the information was buried deep inside.
Also on track for 2008 are the rest of the games we’ve known about for a very long time. Disaster Day of Crisis should be rearing its head this year, as well as Wii Music and a Mario baseball title. What else we can expect from 2008 remains a mystery, but another Mario sports title certainly wouldn’t be off, as well as a 9th Mario Party, after the 8th title proved to be an extremely strong performer last year. Those surprises will have to wait for GDC or E3 later this year.
