Comic books are a major source of content for video games, with most titles making it safely through the development process. However, 100 Bullets, an acclaimed crime-themed comic book from DC’s Vertigo division, has had a troubled past - it was originally being developed by Acclaim and was even shown at E3 2004 in playable form. Since then the publisher has gone down, but the license was purchased by D3Publisher who announced in May 2005 that they were working on the game.
Two years have passed with no glimpses at the game. FiringSquad contacted the publisher about the title, and the answer they got back was pretty surprising: it is still in development! Apparently they are still working on it and will actually reveal it to the masses later this year. They also mention that it is a completely new project and is not a continuation of Acclaim’s original project.
In the meantime, you guys can check out the comic book. It’s actually quite good.
