This week’s press and analyst financial conference call had EA executives weigh in on the matter of development difficulties on the PS3, relating to multiplatform releases for which the publisher is so well-known for.
Company CEO revealed that EA as well as many other publishers faced challenges on the PS3, stating that the situation has greatly improved since developers have had more time to deal with the hardware. He estimates that the issues are only about a third the problem it once was.
He also points out that parallel development on both consoles (referring to Xbox 360) causes the most difficulties. According to him, games developed primarily for the PS3 tend to go much more smoothly in development.
