X3: Terran Conflict Announced
Egosoft has announced X3: Terran Conflict, a standalone follow-up to X3: Reunion, calling it a culmination of the space combat trilogy, though it actually includes four titles counting the new game. Expected to hit stores during Q3 2008, the game offers more missions than any other X game before. It also develops the story found in the “trilogy”, posing questions on the status of Earth, among other things.
“The X series has always been one of our top quality brands, and an integral part of the Deep Silver portfolio,” states Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, Managing Director of Koch Media. “So we are very happy to be presenting the gripping next installment of the X universe’s story in X³: Terran Conflict.”
“We look forward to adding another successful chapter to the X story, together with Koch Media,” says Bernd Lehahn, Managing Director of Egosoft.
Not much more is known about the game at the moment, but the official product page is already up, so check it out.
