Mario Made Into A Reality

February 7th, 2008 Posted in News, Offbeat, Video by Erich Jurgens

Don’t you just love it when people have way too much time on their hands? If everyone had something useful to do, funny fun things like this would never appear. As you may or may not know, while playing classic platform games, like Super Mario Brothers, the player doesn’t actually move the sprite (which in this case is Mario), but instead move the background, except i in situations where the background is static, like at the ends of a level or during a boss. Apparently, someone decided that this explanation is insufficient. What possible explanation could be better, you might ask. Obviously, the answer is to design a physical version of the classic. I can’t wait for the Super Mario Galaxy version to be designed.
