Microsoft To Still Go After Casual Market

February 8th, 2008 Posted in News, Xbox 360 by Erich Jurgens

They’re still at it! According to Shane Kim, cooperate Vice President of Microsoft Game Studios, Microsoft isn’t content with the Xbox 360 being the mature gaming machine. He said that they have to fight the idea the Xbox is only for hardcore gamers with games like Guitar Hero. He went further, stating that the Wii hasn’t won yet, and there’s “a long way to go, so it’s way too early to declare a winner”. Last time we heard this kind of talk from Microsoft was when the Wiimote killer Scene It. That said, if their idea of going after the casual market is to include more games like Guitar Hero (without a bunch of rip-offs of course), then they finally have the right idea.
