Toshiba had a good product, but so did sony. The format war didn’t really have anything to do with superior products as much as it did who could get their product marketed the best.

whatever toshiba had a good product and they only go with sony because they are trendier, but sony is good when you try and get a position in search engines and you have lot of comp you can always shorten the title of the products so you get some traffic

Because although the underdog is always loved in the mind of the public, in terms of business you generally bow to the most popular. Besides, there’s always the possibility that they’re getting something from Sony because of this little deal.

thats not far why can’t they have both? toshiba is not as big of a company as sony why can’t they stick with underdog?
